  1. Re: the last question : Once, (but just once) I had Greenland "Randomly infected"…had a pop up message telling me and everything. I'm not certain what I did to deserve the help or if it was simply random, but it is at least possible.

    1. The animal transmission will infect greenland.

    2. No, this is different. It is a rare occurrence in which the country is spontaneously infected without any form of transmission. For me, it was Spain.

    3. Spontaneous Infection is a result of max air and water transmission, then the air/water barrier transmission (can't remember the exact name). Still rare, but predictable and causative.

    4. The scientists in Greenland once accidentally released the strain from the lab.

    5. also, extreme zoology (max all animal transmissions) will result in randomly infection countries . not as rare as one might think. but certainly not as fast as a boat or plane.

    6. happened to me twice. once with Madagascar, and once with Australia.

    7. Yes, you can infect islands without planes &/or boats, but you have to have ALL of the animal traits infected so they come together and 'link up'. I've been able to utilize that when all other ports are closed (most notably when playing the fungus levels)

  2. if you have all the animal ones they are likely to migrate

    1. This is true. I often use birds now as some of my most effective transmitters, better still if you get the mass migration random event. Stupid ships don't go to Greenland often enough anyway.

  3. Actually if you have all the bird mice cow upgrade greedland will be infected with closed port.

  4. I have had Madagascar once infect itself with a closed port when a research facility there blew up and released some the pathogen they were studying... Still lost that particular game because of Greenland, but it is nice that some events work in our favor.

  5. I'm trying now to get all of the achievements. Does anyone know how to get people to nuke each other these are the only ones I have left to beat the whole game

    2. Ok.. that made me laugh tea through my nose.

    3. that was rather funny and spontaneous, got a laugh out of me.

    4. Take it off your SD card - or try uninstalling and reinstalling. I bet it will fix itself once you put it on your device

  7. I am playing normal using fungus and my infection has infected every place except ten of them. My question is if once they have found 100% cure for it if i can still reverse it using the abilities or if there is something else i can do.

    1. Yes, if they find a cure, you can increase severity, or do a DNA reshuffle to make them need more work. It is very short lived though and I'm not sure if the people who have been cured can be reinfected or not.

  8. Can anyone give a straightforward definition of "Severity"? As far as I can tell, it seems to have something to do with the amount of research needed to cure, and the chances the disease will be discovered. (I've beaten most modes on brutal, but I'm still not sure what that attribute does. :/)

    1. Severity is simply how sick people are getting. How "severe" the symptoms are. When you upgrade the symptoms too soon without turning lethal, you do have a greater chance of being spotted.

  9. Is it possible to get all 25 genes, as there are only 8 levels with three different difficulties, which makes 24? I have 24 free genes and only one is missing - but i dont know where to get.

    ReplyDelete

    1. There's no need to take different types of epidemics. I got all 25 starter genes and unlock most of them with bacteria or fungus on brutal. But even doing an epidemic with that you've won already on normal gets you an other starter gene. ...at least for me on iOS plague inc. v.1.4.2

  10. Hey guys, I need some help.. I've beaten all 7 disease types on brutal, some of them several times, but Neurax worm still isn't unlocked. Anyone know how to fix it?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Are you sure? You see the cleared levels with little grey stripes in the upper right corner. Three stripes are brutal, two are normal, one is simple.

  11. Hey, I am having the same problem. have beaten all the 7 diseases on brutal. how ever neither the Neurax worm nor the cheat would unlock.
And Yes there are 3 grey stripes on the right corner or each plague type.

    Can somebody please help?!!

    1. This has happened to me as well, except I have the Neurax Worm, and the 3 cheats. I don't have Necroa Virus though! I WANT MAKE ZOMBEHZ! Dx

  12. I bought the worm and had to beat it on brutal to unlock the cheats

  13. Hey, can anyone help? I finally have finally beaten bacteria and fungus i was playing fungus. I went back on the game a hour later to find that all of my game has been deleted so i had to start from bacteria again. Is there anyway to prevent this because it has happened multiple times?

    1. That happened to me I cleared the data it reset my progress. Since then I haven't done that. I would check to see if you have something clearing your data.

  14. Umm... Once I found out that one of a island's ports reopened...

  15. A strategy that works if you have a closed off island nation (Greenland, Caribbean, Madagascar, New Zealand, etc...) is to evolve the max rat/bird/cow transmission, which will eventually result in nonhuman infection of the closed off country. You have to have killed off enough of the rest of the world to slow research to a crawl, because it takes some time. Once you are down to about one billion humans left, devolve symptoms all back to level 2 to slow the death rate. Having the gene splice that prevents devolve costs from escalating is helpful. I keep the level 2 symptoms because rapid infection transmission is a must once the nonhuman infection occurs. Otherwise they'll just execute the infected people or bomb their cities.

This is a really expensive strategy if you don't already have the rat/bird/cow transmissions, so you have to have a substantial bank. Also, buying back the symptoms you devolved, in order to become lethal again to finish off the last county is expensive. If you're lucky, you will just mutate something lethal. I have shifted strategy to buying sneezing, vomiting, skin lesions early, because having more symptoms gets you more DNA points when you infect countries. The rapid spread seems to make up for the earlier cure research, and the extra DNA is helpful. I usually wait until the first mutation and then purchase from there.

  16. New to plague and just played bacteria in normal mode...thought I was doing well and then suddenly the game end with a message Saying "I killed all my hosts but a few humans survived" What did I do wrong???

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Either some country wasn't infected, or the disease was too lethal for the infected ones to infect the healthy ones. (They died before they could pass on the infection) I personally like to see which countries are 'still healthy' on the world data page to help track those countries that are giving me trials.

  17. I also have all three stripes on all the free plagues and the neurax worm has not unlocked. I plan to pay at some point, but I like the challenge of unlocking as much as I can without paying. How do I unlock the worm?!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Jrwalstad wait until you get the message that everyone is infected

    ReplyDelete
  19. You killed all of your hosts and a few humans survived :D
OR! To dumb it down:You didn't infect errybodeh.

  20. I have unlocked a few levels and the associated genes that come with beating those levels..but the game won't let me play what I've unlocked. When I go to insert the unlocked gene..it just gives me a screen that says unlock..clicking it just closes it and I'm back to square one. How do I play and insert the unlocked material I've been awarded? Is it just a glitch?

  21. What is the basis for the DNA points added to your score without popping any bubbles - looks like the infection rate at times but not consistent. Any ideas?
